by appointment only. We are scheduling appointments for both the state Knowledge and Drive tests. Please call the office 684-3164 to set up an appointment. Be sure to have your permit or license or
pre-application number handy when you call.
Please do not come to the office as we are
closed to walk-ins.
Face coverings are
required of our staff and for anyone who is in our office or vehicles.
The KNOWLEDGE TEST constists of 40 muliple choice questions based on the WA Driver Guide. Applicants must answer 32 questions correctly to pass (a score of 80%). The test is provided
to us by the Dept. of Licensing.
Price: $20 each attempt
To prepare for the knowledge test study the Washington Driver
Guide at the Department of Licensing website or pick up a guide at any Dept. of Licensing office (on Wynne St. in Colville).
We offer the Knowledge Test in English, Spanish, Russian, and Chinese.
To set up a time to take the Knowledge Test call for an appointment 684-3164. Please leave a message if there is no answer and someone will call you back.

$40 using your vehicle - $65 using a Road Scholar vehicle (must posess learner
permit or license)
If you provide your own vehicle, you must have:
Proof of current liability insurance
Current tabs & registration
Brake lights working including the 3rd brake light in the back window

If you are under the age of 18, you are required to have completed a driver education course and passed the Knowledge Test within the last 2 years.
If you are over the age of 18 you must take and pass the Knowledge Test (within the last 2 years) before you can schedule a drive test.
If you need to cancel a scheduled appointment, you must notify Road
Scholar at least 24 hours in advance. If you schedule an appointment and do not show up, are unprepared for the test or cancel at the last minute, you may be asked to prepay to schedule another
